There's a cute little Japanese place down at the Info Centre. The food there are pretty good but it's always pretty slow; however, when they are taking too long, they always give us some extra food. Their prices are more than Samuri Sushi but a bit better in quality. I usually go there for lunch and there usually is a line.
It's also a good place to go before getting on the greyhound bus. Purchase some snack there and hop on the bus down to Vancouver.
My fav food there is their spicy scallop rolls. They always put a bunch of extra scallops with tobiko on the top of the roll....mmmm...I want some right now!

Food & Wine
I think I might dedicate this website to the food & wine I stumble upon during my travelling. Since I love food and kind of like wine, I think this would be a good choice. I love to eat and love tasting new food. One very important element when I travel is eating local food and experience that local culture. I think food speaks a lot for their culture.
There are tons of restaurants in Whistler; however, none of which I can say I love. I have been to some of the restaurants here a few times (probably more than I want to), but that is just because there aren't anything better. Food here are average; conversely, the service here are really lacking. Most servers expect a tonne of tips, yet they deliver pretty crappy services.

Yeah! Weekend!!
Whistler really is a funny place... The weekend is here now and all the city slickers will be here to ski/snowboard. Locals usually try to avoid going up the mountains on the weekends and sticks to the weekdays so that they don't need to wait in line for the lifts and gondolas. No body likes a mountain filled with people, it sort of looks like ice-cream filled with ants when there's that much people there.
It's supposed to snow a bit tomorrow...and I really hope that it will....or else I won't be able to snowboard since I still fall ALOT....we will see. We are kind of like farmers here. We're waiting for the snow and the farmers are waiting for the rain. It's pretty funny.
I notice some some people around me are tired of the snow. They're ready for Spring. Well, who isn't? Only I wish there's still lots of snow on the mountains and nice and dry down in the village.

Perfect Snowflakes
My brother came up to Whistler to visit last week and we went snowboarding for the first time (well, technically it's my second time). It was AWESOME!! I loved it!! I feel that I have more control over the board than skis. I really want to try again. Will do that next weekend since this weekend I'll be going to Vancouver to visit my family.
It's been snowing lots for the past few days and I really wanted to go up the mountains this weekend though. Oh well, I can do that next week.
I've been Christmas shopping for the past few days here but there really isn'y many shops here...went into Eddie Bauer and wanted to buy something for my beau....ended up spending more than 180 bucks there......it's a bit crazy....I've decided to go back to Van yesterday so I've returned the brand new gifts that I've just bought from Eddie Bauer and get something that's similar in Vancouver....I'm sure that it'll be MUCH cheaper with more selections.
We've got a Christmas tree in our house this year...it's actually my first tree ever... He got it in Squamish's Home Depot since it's waaaaaaaaay cheaper there....they do sell trees in Whistler too at IGA and Nester from the Boy's Scouts....but they are pretty expensive...however, it is for a good cause...so maybe it's worth it because you don't need to spend your gas money for going all the way to Squamish. We usually go there once a month anyway to get grocery, so it's alright for us.
I love my tree....it's beautiful and it adds colour to our room. Not that we don't have lots of plants in our living room already. It also adds the pine scent to our house as well..just makes you feel like it's Christmas.

Starting another one
I'm starting a new post. Not sure what I want to make this one to be yet....will think about it.
Maybe something to do with Whistler's life and my travelling life. I haven't travel much lately. But Whistler is like a place where you can travel and live at the same time. There are lots of things that people are attracted to here. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, atv, cross country skiing, skating, fishing, hiking, zip treckking, tree trekking....and many more!
There's both lots of summer and winter activities tourist can do here. A lot of locals are here not because they have planned it. I know many locals who are originally here for just a winter to snowboard/ski. Then they end up being here for 5,6,10, and even 15 years. I wonder if I'm going to be one of those folks. You never know!
