Sushi To Go

There's a cute little Japanese place down at the Info Centre. The food there are pretty good but it's always pretty slow; however, when they are taking too long, they always give us some extra food. Their prices are more than Samuri Sushi but a bit better in quality. I usually go there for lunch and there usually is a line.

It's also a good place to go before getting on the greyhound bus. Purchase some snack there and hop on the bus down to Vancouver.

My fav food there is their spicy scallop rolls. They always put a bunch of extra scallops with tobiko on the top of the roll....mmmm...I want some right now!

Food & Wine

I think I might dedicate this website to the food & wine I stumble upon during my travelling. Since I love food and kind of like wine, I think this would be a good choice. I love to eat and love tasting new food. One very important element when I travel is eating local food and experience that local culture. I think food speaks a lot for their culture.

There are tons of restaurants in Whistler; however, none of which I can say I love. I have been to some of the restaurants here a few times (probably more than I want to), but that is just because there aren't anything better. Food here are average; conversely, the service here are really lacking. Most servers expect a tonne of tips, yet they deliver pretty crappy services.

Yeah! Weekend!!

Whistler really is a funny place... The weekend is here now and all the city slickers will be here to ski/snowboard. Locals usually try to avoid going up the mountains on the weekends and sticks to the weekdays so that they don't need to wait in line for the lifts and gondolas. No body likes a mountain filled with people, it sort of looks like ice-cream filled with ants when there's that much people there.

It's supposed to snow a bit tomorrow...and I really hope that it will....or else I won't be able to snowboard since I still fall ALOT....we will see. We are kind of like farmers here. We're waiting for the snow and the farmers are waiting for the rain. It's pretty funny.

I notice some some people around me are tired of the snow. They're ready for Spring. Well, who isn't? Only I wish there's still lots of snow on the mountains and nice and dry down in the village.
